Medicine Network implement network science approach to investigate the pathogenesis of the disease. Many different analytical methods have been used to infer the network of relevant molecules, including protein-protein interaction network, korelasi- based networks, gene regulatory networks and Bayesian networks.
Medicine Network omics apply an integrated approach to Big Data (including genetics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics) using computational biology tool and, as such, have the potential to deliver improvements in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of complex diseases.
We briefly discuss the types of molecular data used in the analysis of molecular networks, a survey of analytical methods to infer molecular networks, and the study attempts to validate and visualize the molecular network. the successful application of molecular network analysis has been reported in pulmonary arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic lung disease, and drug development. Important knowledge gaps in Medicine Network including interactome incompleteness molecule, a challenge to identify the key genes in genetic association areas, and the limited application in human disease.
